Have you or a relative, neighbor or friend been the victim of a scam or identity fraud?

Have you received a phone call from someone claiming to be your relative and asking for money for an emergency?

Have you received a bill for an expensive item you never purchased, asking you for confidential information or listing a phone number or website for you to contact for “more information?”

Has your social security number been used by someone else to open a credit card in your name and spent huge sums for which you’ve been held accountable?

If you answer “yes” to any of these scenarios, you should come to Snow Library’s presentation on Scams and Identity Fraud and hear from three experts in the field of cybersecurity who will empower you to recognize fraud schemes before they cause financial or personal harm. Paul Forni and Chris Catlado, of the Cape & Coastal Bank, and Lt. Andrew McLaughlin, a detective with the Orleans Police Department, will provide tips on avoiding becoming a victim of cybersecurity crimes.
